How Neosun Energy Is Helping Jetpark Achieve 55% Energy Independence with Solar Power

NEOSUN ENERGY

Neosun Energy, a global company that builds solar power systems, is installing an 800 kWp solar energy system at Jetpark in Johannesburg, South Africa.

This project, done in partnership with Palisades Business Park, is a big step towards using cleaner energy in the region.

The system includes 1,380 Longi 580W N-type solar panels, known for their high efficiency.

Once completed, the solar setup will produce about 1.347 GWh of electricity each year, covering nearly 55% of Jetpark’s energy needs.

This will help lower electricity costs and reduce the site’s reliance on traditional power sources.

The project will also cut carbon emissions by around 905 tons annually, similar to removing 2,095 barrels of oil from use or stopping the burning of over one million pounds of coal.

Neosun Energy focuses on providing solar solutions that save money and benefit the environment.

Jeanine Jackson, Head of Sales for Neosun Energy South Africa, said the company is committed to helping businesses solve energy problems with cost-effective solutions.

The project also takes advantage of South Africa’s 12B Tax Incentive, which allows Palisades Business Park to recover a large part of the installation costs.

Across South Africa, more businesses are turning to solar power to reduce expenses and improve energy security.

In sunny areas, solar projects can pay for themselves in less than two years, leading to savings and profits soon after.

This project also shows how partnerships between private companies and business parks can drive cleaner energy adoption.

By working with Palisades Business Park, Neosun Energy is reducing the site’s environmental impact and promoting a more sustainable future for the community.

Neosun Energy’s solar installation at Jetpark is a strong example of how businesses can use renewable energy to cut costs and reduce pollution.

As South Africa continues to face energy challenges, projects like this can inspire more companies to switch to cleaner energy and support sustainable growth.
