Nairobi, Kenya – 20 th May 2026 Schneider Electric, the global energy technology leader in energy management and automation, today announced the launch of its Innovation Hub and Hands-On Training Center in Nairobi, marking a significant milestone in advancing energy innovation and skills development across East Africa.
Located within Schneider Electric’s newly established office, the facility has been purposefully designed as a living showcase of the company’s technologies, demonstrating how connected, intelligent systems can transform buildings, enhance efficiency, and drive sustainability.
At the heart of the new office is the Innovation Hub. The Hub provides an immersive environment where customers, partners, and stakeholders can interact with Schneider Electric’s latest solutions in real-world scenarios. By bringing together energy management, automation, and digital technologies, the space demonstrates how integrated systems can deliver smarter, more resilient, and more sustainable operations.
Complementing the Innovation Hub is a hands-on Service and Training Center designed to equip customers with the capabilities required for a rapidly evolving energy landscape.
The training facility offers practical, experience-based learning, enabling participants to:
- Work directly with Schneider Electric technologies
- Develop critical technical skills
- Understand real-world applications of energy and automation solutions
This initiative reinforces Schneider Electric’s commitment to empowering local talent and accelerating ecosystem readiness.

What sets the Nairobi office apart is the real-world implementation of Schneider Electric’s solutions within the office space. The new space integrates a range of advanced technologies, including:
- Busway systems for efficient power distribution
- Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) ensuring up to two hours of full-office backup
- KNX automated lighting systems for intelligent energy use
- Building Management System (BMS) for centralized control and optimization
- Environmental monitoring systems tracking air quality, temperature, humidity, and more
- Type-tested Prisma switchboards with smart breakers and metering
- InRow cooling systems for precision thermal management
All systems are seamlessly connected, enabling real-time monitoring, data-driven insights, and optimized performance across the entire space.
